Friends –

It’s been a great week of campaigning and connecting with the community since our fundraising freeze was lifted last Friday.

I wasted no time getting straight to work because some of my opponents were able to raise money over the last three months, which means we have to catch up! While I was serving as your State Senator in the legislature, I was unable to fundraise. There’s still so much work ahead with a crowded Primary Election. Help me stand apart from others and be your Progressive champion.

I’m running to be your next Commissioner of Public Lands because we can only heal and protect our lands for our current generation and generations to come if we put people first in our stewardship practices and land management, and ensure we all have clean air and water while minimizing the impacts of wildfire and wildfire smoke.

You can help us by hosting a fundraiser or connecting us with someone who would be willing to host our campaign and get our message out!

Every dollar we raise shows people across Washington that our campaign is ready to defeat the Republicans efforts to stifle and separate us and win. We are not accepting any money from big oil, big timber, or polluters. This means we need you! Can you give $50, $100, or whatever you can today to help us continue to make up the ground we lost during the freeze?

Thank you for all of your support – I can’t wait to see you all again!

Adelante,

Team Rebecca Saldaña (D)

Alarming News: According to news sources, a new PAC is being funded to support one of our opponents.

Here’s an example of what we’re up against. The PAC recently received a donation of $75,000 from a Big Oil corporation — and they’re just getting started.

Let’s put that in context. Since the fundraising freeze ended, our average donation on Team Ferguson is $60. That means 1,250 individuals would need to make a personal gift to match what ONE Big Oil corporation donated. That’s a lot of people!

Help us fight back against corporate PAC money by rushing a donation of $5 or more to our campaign now!

Bob refuses donations from large corporations and corporate PACs. Instead, we’re building a winning grassroots coalition with an average donation of $60 that includes donors from all 39 Washington counties.

Don’t underestimate how much the opposition will spend to turn Washington red. Last time there was an open seat, the Republican Governors Association spent more than $11 million — and we expect they’ll spend even more in this race.

A flood of grassroots donations right now will help ensure we have the resources to fight back. Can we count on you to pitch in $5 or whatever you can now?

Thank you,

Team Ferguson

If you haven’t heard by now, over 20 years ago, when Nick was a Harvard Law student, he competed as a contestant on the reality show Survivor.

Don’t believe us? See for yourself and take a look at these incredible Throwback Thursday pics from Nick’s time playing the game.

Can you spot Nick in this throwback pic?

Nick competed in Season 2 of the show. He’ll never forget this wild adventure, and along the campaign trail, he can always count on folks asking him about his incredible experience on the show.

Here’s another pic! It’s hard to believe the show’s in its 46th season.

In the 20 years since the show, Nick has continued his work in public service. From beginning his career as a JAG Corps attorney in the U.S. Army to working as general counsel for Governor Jay Inslee and most recently serving as the U.S. Attorney of Western Washington, Nick’s done so much to help others.

Now, Nick’s ready to bring his experience to the Office of the Attorney General in Washington so he can work to ensure that every Washingtonian is safe and has a better future no matter their age, their race, their gender, or where they live.

Nick’s proud to have this incredible grassroots team by his side in this race. And in the words of a younger Nick on Survivor, he’d never bet against this team of supporters who’ve shown up for him time and time again.

We now have to ask: Will you chip in today to help us hit our mid-month fundraising goal and ensure that Nick can win this ultimate challenge and become Washington’s next Attorney General?

Thanks for your support, and we hope you enjoyed the Throwback Thursday content!

12. March 2024 · Comments Off on Maria Cantwell for US Senator – March 12, 2024 · Categories: Elections

Our first Federal Election Commission (FEC) deadline of 2024 is coming up fast. The March deadline will be the first big test in the on-year, and we need a strong showing to set us on the path to victory.

Emboldened by their successful attacks on reproductive freedom, ultra-conservative Republicans are coming out of the woodwork to challenge my colleagues from coast to coast. We cannot show any vulnerability.

To ensure we’re building the grassroots foundation we need to win in November, we must hit every single goal between now and Election Day.

That means we need another (at least) 450 contributions over the next 48 hours to stay on track. Will you pitch in $10 to help defend this seat and help me hold our Senate majority?

Nothing is guaranteed this year.

In recent months we’ve seen nothing but chaos from Republicans, and now right-wing dark money groups and powerful GOP mega donors are looking for vulnerable races where they can swoop in and defeat Democrats.

They’re going all-out to flip everything red in November, and we know they will do, say, and spend anything to win.

That’s why early support in our race can – and will – make a difference. Grassroots support from people like you is always the margin of victory.

We can’t afford to falter in our first FEC report of the year.

Please rush $10 to ensure we’re ready for anything national Republicans throw at us:

Thank you,

Maria

Far-right interest groups will literally say anything to defeat me and elect anti-choice Republican Dave Reichert.

In a mailing campaign from February, they called me a demented tyrant” in reference to my work creating responsible gun laws that protect our communities.

This is the type of attack we expect from now until November.

This election will be close. In the last two campaigns for Washington Governor where there was no incumbent, like this one, the average margin of victory was just 1.5%.

If we’re going to win, I need your help to fight back against these attacks.

Can I count on you to make a donation today to help get my message out to voters so we can elect a Governor who stands up for Washingtonians?

Your support is especially important at this moment, Ben. Here’s why:

For the last three months, state law put our campaign in a fundraising freeze — we literally could not accept a penny!

The freeze did NOT apply to our anti-choice opponent David Reichert, who raised over $500,000 while I worked to strengthen Washington’s laws and protect our rights.

But that’s not all. This freeze also didn’t apply to far-right groups, like the one attacking me in this mailer.

Doesn’t seem fair, does it?

Here’s the good news — the fundraising freeze is finally over and we can rebuild our momentum.

Please donate now to help us respond to future attacks and share our positive message for Washington State. I’m grateful for anything you can give.

Thank you for your support!

Bob Ferguson

Just your luck:

We released this I ☘️ Joe t-shirt right on time for St. Patrick’s Day!

Luck won’t win this election, but investing in this shirt just might! Together, we can show some love for our favorite Irish-American president and Democrats up and down the ballot this St. Patty’s Day and beyond.

Happy shopping,

Nick’s running for Attorney General because he’s committed to making Washington a better and safer place for all.

We wanted to let you know where Nick stands on the issues that matter most to Washingtonians, but before we get into it, can we count on you to chip in $10 or more today to help us grow this grassroots campaign across Washington?

The role of the Attorney General is more important than ever before, and Washingtonians deserve someone like Nick with the experience to tackle our most pressing issues and the solutions to help solve them. Here’s a look at just some of the priorities that Nick will tackle once in the Office of the Attorney General:

Public Safety

  • Building safer communities in Washington starts with passing nation-leading legislation to prevent gun violence. For Nick, this also involves combating substance abuse statewide, addressing hate crimes and the root causes of what drives people to commit criminal acts.

The Economy

  • Nick’s committed to protecting consumers and workers, who are far too often taken advantage of by those in power. He’s also ready to work to ensure Washington stays one of the best places to start a small business and be a worker.

Climate Change

  • Climate change is here in Washington — wildfires have destroyed too many of our communities, and Nick’s committed to addressing this crisis head-on. He will expand our state’s nation-leading environmental protection and enforce laws that hold bad climate actors accountable.

Abortion Rights

  • Since the fall of Roe, access to abortions and other reproductive health care services has been under attack across the country. Nick will do anything and everything as Attorney General to ensure Washington stays a safe haven for women’s rights.

These are just a handful of the issues Nick’s committed to addressing as Attorney General. If you’d like a deeper look into his experience and plans to tackle these issues, check out our website’s priorities section →

As Attorney General, Nick will work tirelessly to make Washington a safe place for everyone – no matter your age, race, gender, where you live, or who you love.

But to get Nick working for all Washingtonians, we need your support today to ensure we have the resources we need to win, so please pitch in whatever you can to help us get Nick into the Office of the Attorney General.

Thanks for taking the time to read some of the priorities Nick’s focused on addressing, and please don’t hesitate to see for yourself on Nick’s website how he plans to tackle these issues and more.
