Voting in our primary election ends tomorrow.
Over the last few years, we have seen just how fragile our democracy is – and just how far some extremists in our political sphere will go to overthrow it.
The January 6 committee hearings revealed shocking information about the extent of the Trump administration’s knowledge and involvement in the violent attempt to overthrow our free and fair elections.
We can’t forget that many of the same extremists who promote that Big Lie are now running for office up and down the ballot across the country – including here in WA-04.
I believe in people above ideology. I believe in country over party. I believe in a Constitution that recognizes that all people (and I mean all people) have the same rights and protections: autonomy over our bodies, voting rights, and access to healthcare, housing, and employment.
We are strongest when we stand together. But Republicans are working to dismantle our Constitution so they can push minority rule onto the majority.
Do not let a small minority impose their beliefs on the majority. As voting in our primary election comes to a close tomorrow, I invite you to join me in voting your beliefs, not your fears.
Remember: If you’re mailing in your ballot, it must be postmarked no later than tomorrow, August 2. And if you’re dropping your ballot off at a secure drop box, you must do so by 8pm on Tuesday. You can find more information on how to vote in our August 2nd primary by clicking here.
Thank you for sticking with me through this primary. I can’t express how grateful I am for the support you’ve shown.
