BADGER FORUM: Building a Healthier Community

What does it mean to live in a healthy community” And how would we know? The 2022 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) will help us begin to answer some of those questions when the Badger Club presents its next forum, Building a Healthy Community on Thursday, October 20.

The traditional Maasai warrior greeting includes the phrase “”And how are the children?” How are our children? Are they healthy, fed, educated, and well cared-for? How many of our children are come to school every day hungry? Or live in an abusive home? You would be right if you said there is no way to know for certain, but the new CHNA will give us some clues based on surveys, interviews with educators, parents, and others who work with kids.

But there’s even more to building a healthy community: Can people get to and from work or school safely? Is there adequate—and affordable—housing available? The Community Health Needs Assessment will be unveiled the week of October 20. Please plan to join us.

The Benton-Franklin Community Health Alliance is sponsoring the Badger Forum: Building A Healthy Community so there is no charge to attend.
