So far, he’s filed new proposals to target trans student athletes, curb property taxes, siphon money away from public education, and repeal the state Legislature’s recent changes to the “parents’ rights” law—changes that were made specifically to protect vulnerable kids and ensure local control.
These initiatives are not about “freedom” or “parents’ rights.” They are about defunding our public schools, eliminating essential government services, silencing teachers, and handcuffing local leaders from doing their jobs.
We beat Brian Heywood’s schemes last year. But he’s back, he’s spending more, and he’s betting we’ll be too tired, too distracted, or too divided to stop him again. That’s where you come in.
