Hey there, Washingtonians,

Scott Forbes here. Executive Director of the Washington Democrats.

First off: thank you.

You’re here because you believe in a Washington state that is bold, compassionate, and unafraid to lead our nation forward. So do I. I speak for everyone at the Washington Democratic Party when I say we can’t thank you enough for your support. Every dollar you’ve chipped in, every door you’ve knocked, every conversation you’ve had—it all adds up. Because of people like you, we’ve been able to build one of the most effective, people-powered state parties in the country.

Seriously. I like to tell folks I’ve got the best job in the country—because I get to help lead the best state party in the country, with the best constituents in the country. That’s all because of you—so thank you. 

As Executive Director of the Washington Dems, my job is to build the foundation for a Democratic supermajority in 2026—and that work starts right now.

Every single dollar you give powers real, on-the-ground work right here in Washington. We don’t rely on billionaire mega-donors cutting six-figure checks like the Washington GOP. We’re a people-powered organization, fueled by $30 donations from grassroots supporters who believe in democracy and progress.

Here’s exactly what your donations support:

• Year-round organizing—hiring full-time organizers across the state, not just during election years.
• Voter outreach and mobilization—phone banks, canvassing, relational organizing, and turnout operations.
• Battleground defense—protecting key districts like WA-03 and WA-08 while holding newly-won ground like LD18.

• Pushing a dangerous ballot initiative to eliminate vote-by-mail and suppress turnout.
• Attacking reproductive freedom and threatening to roll back abortion access.
• Undermining climate action and siding with corporate polluters.
• Trying to dismantle protections for LGBTQIA+ Washingtonians.
• Voted for Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill,” cutting Medicaid for ~274,000 Washingtonians
• Working to end our best-in-the-nation vote-by-mail elections system

Meanwhile, the Washington Democrats are meeting the moment:

• Defeating three right-wing mega-funded initiatives at the ballot box.
• Expanding legislative majorities to protect our values.
• Passing historic protections for abortion rights, climate action, workers’ rights, and gun safety.
• Fighting extremist disinformation and standing up for democracy every single day.
• From defending our students and the rule of law to reining in Trump’s reckless tariffs and deportation, Washington leaders like Senator Maria Cantwell, WA State Superintendent Chris Reykdal, and Attorney General Nick Brown are standing strong against federal threats.
