The Washington GOP’s dangerous voter purge initiative has officially FAILED.
Jim Walsh and the WA Republican Party tried to push a reckless scheme to remove people from our voter file en masse, undermining our elections. They claimed they were “on track” gathering the signatures needed to get on the ballot. They weren’t even close.
The Secretary of State’s office has confirmed that Walsh canceled his appointment to turn in signatures for Initiative IL26-126 because he didn’t have enough.
Washingtonians across the state sent a clear message: Keep your hands off our democracy.
Our elections remain safe, secure, accessible, and transparent, just like they should be. It’s because people like you stood up. You spoke out. You supported Washington Democrats when it mattered most. Together, we protected the best election system in the country from a blatant power grab.
But Kendall, this wasn’t a one-time attack. It won’t be the last.
