The best thing I can say about last night’s State of the Union is this: it probably does reflect the state of our union, and that state is a disaster.
We have an unhinged president at the helm, and a Republican Congress that refuses to check him, question him, or protect the people they were elected to serve.
We deserve better.
Trump promised to lower costs on Day One. Instead, prices are rising. He promised a “golden age.” Instead, jobs are drying up, layoffs are mounting, and economic growth is stalling. He made big promises last night, the same way he always does, with no plan to keep them.

While Trump sows chaos, Washington State Democrats are proving what real leadership looks like.
