Earlier this week, Louisiana lawmakers voted to jail people for possessing abortion pills. Anyone in possession of mifepristone and misoprostol without a prescription may be punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Yeah, you read that correctly.
We know far-right GOP politicians in other states are eyeing this move – and it won’t be long until they follow in Louisiana’s footsteps.
When Roe was gutted, it became clear that a number of new avenues were open to anti-democratic activists who seek to control women’s reproductive freedom and obstruct our access to health care.
