Last night’s presidential debate was a rough one. It would be easy to despair because the threats that we are facing were on full display. And the thing about democracy is that no one is coming to save us. We are all we got, and when we bet on us, no matter the odds, we win.
We won’t lie, it won’t be easy. It will take all of us. And the road to building our big tent will be difficult. But democracy is worth it. Our freedoms are worth it. We are enough, and we need to be ready for whatever comes.

P.S. If you didn’t watch the debate, or were unable to pull a coherent policy platform from Trump’s onstage ramblings, you can read the topline goals that Trump will enact if he is elected President below.
Here are some toplines we need all feminists to know:
Dismantling Civil Rights:
- Will remove protections based on sexual orientation and gender identity
- Will ban diversity, equity, and inclusion programs
- Will attack voting rights for marginalized communities
Reproductive Rights:
- Will ban abortion nationwide & restrict access to contraception
- Will transform Department of Health and Human Services into a “Department of Life”
Immigration:
- Will enact harsh policies towards immigrants and asylum seekers
- Will expand ICE detention facilities and restrict visas for human trafficking victims
Education:
- Proposes abolishing the Department of Education
- Seeks to eliminate federal oversight of public schools
Right to Protest:
- Will expand executive power, which will be used to restrict peaceful demonstrations
- Will redefine “domestic terrorism” to include certain forms of protest
- Will increase surveillance of and penalties for protesters
- Will limit First Amendment protections for public gatherings and dissent
MAGA will gut our freedoms, American democracy, and our futures.
