If you don’t feel like celebrating our “freedom” today, you’re not alone. 

How can we celebrate freedom in this country when unelected judges are attacking the fundamental rights of millions and stripping away our control over our own bodies? When GOP politicians are fighting like hell to suppress voting rights in their fascist attempts to overtake our democracy? When Black folks and our trans siblings are being killed by police funded with our tax dollars? 

How can we celebrate freedom in this country when – 3 DAYS AGO – a MAGA compromised Supreme Court gave presidents the power of kings? 

Kendall, F*uck the 4th. Today was never meant for us. 

Instead, let’s take this day as a reprieve: to see friends and family, enjoy time outdoors, & rest up – we have a long fight ahead of us.
