Over the past weeks, devastating stories have shaken the country: Black mothers denied basic medical care, forced to give birth roadside; a mother who didn’t survive; an infant who suffered brain death after being turned away.
These tragedies are not isolated incidents. They are symptoms of a system that has failed Black mothers for generations.
We’re coming together—organizers, legal experts, and advocates—to confront what’s happening, why it’s happening, and what must be done right now.
We’ll discuss:
- The rampant negligence leading to preventable harm and death
- The work organizers on the ground are doing to fight for justice and safety
- The newly introduced WELLS Act and what it means for accountability and access
- Concrete steps you can take to push this forward
This moment demands collective action, not silence.
In solidarity,
Women’s March
