It’s José González, a Board Chair at March For Our Lives Foundation, and more importantly, a father.

I firmly believe in the mission of March For Our Lives because my family knows firsthand the consequences of a country that does not prioritize gun violence prevention.

On Valentine’s Day 2018, my child, X González, survived a school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL. Seventeen lives were stolen that day and another 17 people were injured.

Nothing will ever bring those kids and educators back. But the response of X and their classmates inspired me to join forces with our young people as they fight for a future free from gun violence. Every day our work inches us closer to that goal and I’m so proud of the progress we’ve made.

2025 will be a critical year for our movement. So much of what we’ve achieved has been threatened: the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, expanding universal background checks, raising the minimum age to purchase a firearm. The list goes on. We need to be able to throw our full weight behind protecting and expanding gun safety progress.

That’s where you come in: To prepare for 2025, we want to raise $50,000 by December 31st. If you missed Giving Tuesday, it’s not too late. Your donation today of $35 to March For Our Lives Foundation is tax-deductible and makes a huge difference in our fight for gun safety. Will you make a donation now?

Thank you for believing in our mission and for your continued support.

Sincerely,

José González

Your Personal Invite To the Movement Fund 💌💙
At March For Our Lives, we call our monthly supporter program The Movement Fund.
Why are monthly recurring donors so important? The amount of one-time individual donations we receive as an organization varies vastly from month to month.
Without a steady stream of monthly donations coming in our door, it would be impossible to accurately plan our budgets, create long-term strategies to win a future free from gun violence, plan and execute on-the-ground organizing efforts, recruit and train more gun safety champions, and more.
One of the best ways that you can help sustain our movement is by becoming a recurring monthly donor. Can you sign up today?

Women’s March is a 501c(4) organization. Your generous support helps us prepare for fights we see coming and those we don’t. Donations are not tax-deductible. If you prefer to make a tax-deductible gift, we encourage you to support the Women’s March Network. Gifts to the Network support our organizing, communications, advocacy, and public education efforts.
