When the fascists tell us to obey, non-compliance is how we answer back. It’s the refusal to play along with patriarchy’s rules — and it’s one of the oldest feminist traditions we’ve got.
Non-compliance looks like:
- CDC staff walked out after Trump fired their director.
- Vanity Fair’s staff threatened to quit rather than glamorize Melania Trump.
- Earlier this year, Canada banned alcohol imports in retaliation for Trump’s tariffs.
- And on Tuesday, students across the country will walk out — refusing to let this regime script their future.
These are not random sparks. They’re part of a long lineage: garment workers striking, communities boycotting, civil servants saying no. Together, they remind us: MAGA’s power depends on our compliance. Our power is in refusal.
