The fight for immigrant justice is powered by people like you.

It’s through collective action—with the leadership of organizations, community members, and elected officials alike—that the Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (WAISN) has been able to secure a number of key legislative wins. As lawmakers convene next month for the 2025 legislative session, it’s essential for all of us to show up and stay informed about the work of elected officials in Olympia and what this means for our communities. 

That’s why I want to invite you to a Facebook Live this evening at 6 PM for a conversation with Casa Latina, Fair Work Center, and Washington Low Income Housing Alliance to learn more about two of our secondary policy priorities for the upcoming legislative session: Rent Stabilization and Domestic Workers Bill of Rights.

During the Facebook Live, we’ll discuss how we plan to advance these priorities to ensure affordable and stable housing for families impacted by rising costs and essential labor protections for all workers in Washington, regardless of immigration status. 

Kendall, this is your chance to learn more about the policies we will be advocating for in Olympia and how you can help us keep building this powerful movement for immigrant justice.

La lucha por la justicia de los inmigrantes es posible gracias a personas como tú.

Gracias a la acción colectiva—con el liderazgo de organizaciones, miembros de la comunidad y representantes electos—la Red de Solidaridad de Inmigrantes en Washington (WAISN, por sus siglas en inglés) ha conseguido varias victorias legislativas importantes. 

Los legisladores empezaran a reunirse el mes que viene para darle inicio a la sesión legislativa del 2025, es necesario que todos nos mantengamos informados sobre el trabajo de nuestros representantes electos en Olympia y lo que esto significa para nuestras comunidades. 

Es por eso que quiero invitarte a un Facebook en vivo hoy a las 6:30 PM para una conversación con Casa Latina, Fair Work Center, y Washington Low Income Housing Alliance para aprender más sobre dos de nuestras prioridades políticas secundarias para la próxima sesión legislativa: Estabilización de Renta y Carta de Derechos de los Trabajadores Domésticos.

Hablaremos de cómo pensamos promover estas prioridades para garantizar vivienda estable y asequible para las familias afectadas por el aumento de costos de vivienda, y protecciones laborales esenciales para todos los trabajadores de Washington, sin importar su estatus migratorio.
