As 2025 comes to a close, we wanted to reach out one more time to say thank you. Thank you to all of you who make up this community and for your support, your courage, and your perseverance to keep showing up, again and again.
This year was not easy.
Immigrant communities are hurting. Across the country, a federal mass deportation agenda has targeted our neighbors, friends, and families. Here in Washington we know firsthand the fear, anger, and exhaustion that comes with these systemic attacks.
But every time they tried to silence us, you showed up. Despite attacks from those trying to intimidate us, together we turned fear into action—leaning into the power of community, listening to one another, and never wavering in our commitment to immigrant justice.
You stepped up to join Rapid Response teams so immigration enforcement agents could not operate in the shadows without accountability. You donated what you could to help reunite families and free people from immigration detention. You helped us advocate for life-changing policies for immigrant communities during the legislative session. You stood shoulder to shoulder with us through all of it, in moments of crisis and celebration.
Even as we fought back against injustice, we still made space for joy.
The constant attempts to instill fear in our immigrant communities failed to stop our joyful resistance. We held the biggest IRAD in WAISN’s history and brought our message right to the steps of the Capitol. During Pride, WAISN was out in full force all month long—marching, dancing, and celebrating with our queer and trans siblings. Time and again, you helped prove that Washington can be a beacon of hope, even in dark times.
Now is not the time to slow down. Our present and our futures depend on our collective ability to keep caring for one another and pushing forward, despite those who seek to stand in the way of immigrant justice.
After all, if we’ve been able to do all of these things in ten years time, just imagine what we’ll accomplish in the next ten years with your support.

Ahora que el 2025 llega a su fin, queremos darle las gracias una vez más. Gracias a todos los que forman parte de esta comunidad por su apoyo, su valentía y su perseverancia para seguir adelante, una y otra vez.
Este año no ha sido fácil.
Las comunidades de inmigrantes están sufriendo. En todo el país, una agenda federal de deportaciones masivas ha aterrorizado a nuestros vecinos, amigos y familias. Aquí, en Washington, conocemos de primera mano el miedo, la ira y el agotamiento que provocan estos ataques sistémicos.
Pero cada vez que intentaban silenciarnos, usted estaba presente. A pesar de los ataques de quienes intentaban intimidarnos, juntos convertimos el miedo en acción, apoyándonos en el poder de la comunidad, escuchándonos unos a otros y manteniéndonos firmes en nuestro compromiso con la justicia para los inmigrantes.
Se sumó a los equipos de Respuesta Rápida para que los agentes de inmigración no pudieran trabajar a escondidas sin tener que rendir cuentas. Donó lo que pudo para ayudar a reunir a las familias y liberar a las personas detenidas por motivos de inmigración. Nos ayudó a promover políticas que cambiaron la vida de las comunidades de inmigrantes durante la sesión legislativa. Estuvo a nuestro lado en todo momento, tanto en los momentos de crisis como en los de celebración.
A pesar de que luchamos contra la injusticia, también hicimos espacio para festejar.
Los intentos constantes de sembrar el miedo en nuestras comunidades no lograron detener nuestra resistencia y alegría. Organizamos el IRAD más grande de la historia de WAISN y llevamos nuestro mensaje hasta las escaleras del Capitolio. Durante el Mes del Orgullo, WAISN estuvo presente con toda su fuerza, marchando, bailando y celebrando juntos con nuestros hermanos, hermanes y hermanas de minorías sexuales y transgénero. Una y otra vez, usted ayudó a demostrar que Washington puede ser un lugar de esperanza, incluso en tiempos difíciles.
Esta visión no se hará realidad sin usted, sin que todos nosotros asumamos nuestro poder como organizadores, defensores y aliados.
Ahora no es momento de detenernos. Nuestro presente y nuestro futuro dependen de nuestra capacidad colectiva para seguir cuidándonos unos a otros y seguir adelante, a pesar de quienes intentan oponerse a la justicia para los inmigrantes.
Después de todo, si hemos logrado hacer todo esto en diez años, imagínese lo que podremos lograr en los próximos diez años con su apoyo.
