This past January, the Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network made history.
Over 600 immigrants, refugees, and allies gathered in Olympia for our largest ever Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Day (IRAD). As a collective, we marched, rallied, and met with over 90 legislators to make it impossible to ignore our demand: a future where immigrant and refugee communities are not just safe, but thriving.
IRAD 2025 reminded us of what’s possible when we come together: hundreds of community members traveling from every corner of the state, across 38 legislative districts and 19 counties; a multilingual program uplifting the voices of immigrants in Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Mam; and a resounding call for resources for workers and healthcare for community members in need.
Now, we’re looking ahead to Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Day 2026, celebrating our 9th statewide advocacy day, and we know that this moment demands even more.

El pasado mes de enero, la Red de Solidaridad de Inmigrantes en Washington hizo historia.
Más de 600 inmigrantes, refugiados y aliados se reunieron en Olympia para el Día de Abogacía para Inmigrantes y Refugiados (IRAD, por sus siglas en inglés) más grande que hemos tenido hasta ahora. Como colectivo, marchamos, nos manifestamos y nos reunimos con más de 90 legisladores para que fuera imposible ignorar nuestra demanda: un futuro en el que las comunidades de inmigrantes y refugiados no solo estén seguras, sino que también prosperen.
El IRAD de 2025 nos recordó lo que es posible cuando nos unimos: cientos de miembros de la comunidad que viajaron desde todos los rincones del estado, a través de 38 distritos legislativos y 19 condados; un programa multilingüe que amplificó las voces de los inmigrantes en español, portugués, francés y mam; y un llamado enérgico para obtener recursos para los trabajadores y atención médica para los miembros de la comunidad que lo necesitan.
Ahora, miramos hacia el Día de Abogacía para Inmigrantes y Refugiados de 2026, celebrando nuestro noveno día de abogacía a nivel estatal, y sabemos que este momento exige aún más.
