Washington’s water is at the heart of this race. As Public Lands Commissioner, my role will go beyond managing land—it’s about safeguarding our rivers, streams, and coastline.
Just this week, I spoke at the Northwest Marina and Boatyard Conference, where I reconnected with people I’ve worked with for years to solve challenges without sacrificing our environmental values. Business and conservation can, and must, go hand in hand.
Throughout my career, I’ve fought to protect our water, restore Puget Sound, and defend our iconic salmon and orca. Meanwhile, my opponent Jaime Herrera Beutler has earned just a 7% rating from clean water advocates.
The choice in this election couldn’t be clearer.
You deserve a leader who will manage our aquatic lands in the public interest for all of the people of the State of Washington. Someone who is balanced, independent minded and who will follow the science.
The Republican Party and corporate interests are pouring money into my opponent’s campaign at an alarming rate because they know she will simply do their bidding.
We cannot let them succeed.
With just 4 days until ballots mail out, I’m running out of time and need to ask for your help. Can you chip in $25, $50, or $100 or $250 today to help us get our message out? Every dollar—up to the $2400 individual limit—makes a real difference.
Thank you for standing up for Washington’s future and for our precious waters.
Onward,
Dave Upthegrove
