Contemporary Folksingers And Songwriters
Songs of Labor and Social Justice
Spiced With Humor and Occasional Offensive Acidic Social Commentary

Gary Kanter has been acknowledged as one of the Northwest’s most gifted folksingers, labor troubadours, and songwriters. His lyrics range from biting satire (“We’re Burning Books Tonight”) to rousing labor anthems (“Don’t Mourn–Organize!”) to historical commentary (“We Marched Down This Road Before”).

Greg Deer has been impressing audiences with his smooth guitar work and ability to adjust to most every music genre. His talents are often on display in a variety of themed shows at Tim Noah’s Thumbnail Theater in Snohomish where he is also a board member.

Gary and Greg have been playing together for several years with a couple of years off for good behavior during the pandemic. They are fixtures at labor and social justice fundraisers throughout the North Sound Region and regularly perform for progressive candidates during election seasons. The two have produced two CDs with a third on the way.
