The first poll of the race for Secretary of State shows us down seven points to our Republican challenger, according to data from 581 likely voters conducted by The Cascadia Advocate. I don’t want to be too alarming; we have about three months until General Election ballots are due. But we have serious work to do!
- Dale Whitaker — 30%
- Steve Hobbs — 23%
- Marquez Tiggs — 7%
- Damon Townsend — 5%
- Undecided — 35%
We already know that he wants to do away with voting by mail, ignore election disinformation, make it harder for eligible voters to register to vote, and censor books in public libraries. I can only turn this race around with your help.
Speaking to undecided voters statewide means being seen on television and heard on the radio.
The presidential campaigns will buy expensive national advertisements. The gubernatorial campaigns are already filling local news and cable. U.S. House candidates will crowd commercial breaks on television AND streaming services.
