This election season, it’s more clear than ever that we must fight for white people with the same commitment MAGA is. Their strategy of deploying racism to peel away white support for the Democratic ticket is the same strategy that uses racism to bust up unions and undermine progressive issues like universal healthcare and just climate solutions.
I’ve said it before: white privilege is real and it is deadly, but is not an organizing strategy to win over the millions of white people necessary to stop Trump and achieve the real structural change working people need.

I’m proud that right now hundreds of SURJ members are having tens of thousands of conversations with conflicted white voters in battleground states to undermine the right’s strategic racism.
