Last week we asked you to sign on to the We Ain’t Buying It! boycott of Target, Amazon, and Home Depot from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday.
If you have not yet, take 20 seconds and do it now.
Now, we need everyone on board.
4,300 people have signed on to SURJ’s pledge to boycott, and our goal is 11,000.
Can you copy and forward the email below to five people in your life to help us get there? Friends, family, neighbors, teachers – people who care about justice just like you. We Ain’t Buying It! is a nationwide, multiracial boycott, so share this far and wide.
Hey friend,
I’ve joined forces with SURJ, Black Voters Matter, Indivisible, and the Working Families Party to take part in the We Ain’t Buying It! boycott, and I’m asking you to join me.
Take 20 seconds and sign on to boycott Home Depot, Target, and Amazon from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday.
After nearly a year of the Trump administration and corporate America’s attacks on working families, immigrants, and people of color, we are looking for a way to break out of this pain and disrupt the status quo.
That’s how We Ain’t Buying It! was formed: it’s a national boycott of Home Depot, Target, and Amazon from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday 2025. It’s a way to send a clear message to corporate America and the Trump administration that we have the power, and we won’t cooperate with their cruelty. This holiday shopping weekend — when 20% of annual retail sales happen — we’re using our collective power to show corporate America that our values aren’t for sale.
Why these stores?
- Home Depot is allowing ICE agents to illegally detain and kidnap laborers from their stores. The laborers in our communities are not able to look for work safely.
- Target has rolled back its DEI initiatives, which included ending programs that help Black employees advance, cutting financial support for Black-owned businesses, and removing LGBTQ+ products from their stores.
- Amazon is a virtual monopoly, contributes to dangerous working conditions for its employees and drivers, and CEO Jeff Bezos has donated over $1 million to the Trump administration.
People just like us from all across the US are signing on because enough is enough. If they profit off our pain, they don’t deserve our dollars.
I know Black Friday and Cyber Monday are huge days for sales, but I’m going to spend my money elsewhere and enjoy knowing I did it at stores that I chose instead of ones I settled for.
Sign the pledge to boycott these retailers between November 27th and December 1st and speak the only language corporations understand: our wallets.
There’s momentum right now in the world to fight back, and I’m asking you to be a changemaker and harness it with me. Let’s do this together and declare: We Ain’t Buying It!
