Today, on Giving Tuesday, we want to tell you about four other organizations that do an incredible job supporting the community. We hope you’ll take some time today to get to know these organizations, and consider making a Giving Tuesday gift in support of one or more of them.
Advocates for Immigrants in Detention Northwest (AIDNW) assists immigrants and asylum seekers detained in and released from the Northwest ICE Processing Center in Tacoma, Washington. Upon their release from immigration detention, AIDNW volunteers warmly welcome them to the Pacific Northwest, unite them with their U.S. families or sponsors, provide temporary housing, and connect them to resettlement resources.

Jewish Coalition for Immigrant Justice (JCIJ) NW is a multi-generational, multi-lingual Jewish Coalition activating, educating, and raising awareness to meet the emergent needs of the moment in the movement for immigrant justice. JCIJ has been instrumental in providing accompaniment to immigrant community members as they navigate a complicated, often intimidating system. JCIJ members accompany people to their immigration appointments, bond people out of detention, staff legal clinics, and organize mutual aid.

Real Change exists to provide opportunity and a voice to low-income and homeless people while taking action for economic, social and racial justice. Real Change provides low-barrier, immediate work for anyone who needs it and produces a weekly, award-winning newspaper covering issues that impact the community.

Wenatchee for Immigrant Justice (WIJ) promotes justice through advocacy, direct assistance and education. WIJ’s outreach is centered on countering the long-term damage to families and our community that racism, white supremacy and anti-immigrant policies have caused. WIJ funds promote immigrant community resilience in the Greater Wenatchee area by providing economic stability for families in financial crisis by subsidizing rent and other basic needs, as well as immigration-related needs and costs.

Wenatchee for Immigrant Justice (WIJ) promueve la justicia mediante activismo, la asistencia directa y la educación. El trabajo de WIJ se centra en contrarrestar el daño a largo plazo que el racismo, la supremacía blanca y las políticas antiinmigrantes han causado en las familias y en nuestra comunidad. Los fondos de WIJ fomentan la resiliencia de la comunidad inmigrante en el área de Greater Wenatchee, proporcionando estabilidad económica a familias en crisis financieras al subsidiar el alquiler y otras necesidades básicas, así como gastos y necesidades relacionadas con inmigración.
