Re: No on 2117 Campaign Update | Our New Ad on How I-2117 Guts Transportation Investments

Today, we released a new 30-second ad, “Snail”. It highlights the harm that I-2117 would do to our statewide transportation system. I-2117 will mean more traffic by gutting investments in Washington’s transportation system, including one-third of the funding for our state’s transportation funding plan.
“Snail” will air on broadcast and cable stations in the Seattle media market, which covers most of Western Washington. As we announced earlier this week, “At Risk” and “Your Child” — ads focused on I-2117’s health threats — are running concurrently in the state’s other media markets.
We will continue to invest in paid communications statewide, while also growing our grassroots organizing program.
One focus of our organizing program is on young people. On Tuesday, September 24, we’ll host our virtual Youth Kick-Off event and text-banking competition. Young people will have the chance to learn more about how they and their friends can help defeat Initiative 2117.
