Re: No on 2117 Campaign Update | Bill Nye the Science Guy Has Entered the Chat
Date: October 4, 2024
Dear Partners and Supporters,
We are taking nothing for granted in the final month of the campaign. As Let’s Go Washington ramps up their fundraising dramatically (nearly $1M raised in September) while facing charges for serious campaign finance violations, we’re staying one step ahead — continuing to run an aggressive, strategic, and disciplined campaign through Election Day.
We’re leveling up with Bill Nye the Science Guy, who agrees: I-2117 is a bad deal for Washington. Today, we released a new ad featuring Bill Nye sounding the alarm about the threats of Initiative 2117 to Washingtonians’ health. You can watch it here — and then will you share it on social media and with your networks?
This ad will air in the Seattle market, and we continue to air our TV ads statewide.
Bill Nye isn’t the only newsworthy new addition to our historic and growing coalition. We are honored that the majority of the federally recognized Tribes in Washington oppose I-2117. Washingtonians are standing together to defeat I-2117: firefighters, small business owners, Tribal Nations, doctors and nurses, labor unions, environmental groups, community organizations, and more. Meet our coalition members here.
We’re not done, not even close, and neither is Governor Jay Inslee — he’s hitting the road to help us defeat I-2117. He’s launching a statewide tour to rally Washingtonians and expose the devastating impacts Initiative 2117 would have on our health and transportation systems. Join us this weekend, next weekend, and/or at one of our many upcoming events!
Thank you for being in this fight with us,
Wellesley
