Right now, Donald Trump and his supporters are at the Republican National Convention where they are highlighting their plans for America – including their plan to roll back our progress on climate change and give big polluters free reign.
It’s a backward vision for our country. And that’s why our fight to beat I-2117 in Washington state is so important. As federal climate progress is at risk, we must defend our investments in clean air and clean water in Washington state. They’re planning to open up as much public land as possible to fracking, toxic drilling, and devastating LNG export facilities. They will cut as much investment in solar, wind, and electric vehicles as they can. And reporters just revealed that Trump’s Project 2025 takeover would even defund the NOAA:
Their anti-science denialism would even take away the ability of average Americans to see weather data and forecasts that clearly show our climate is rapidly shifting.
Here in Washington state, we must chart a different course. We can stop state-level bad actors from defunding our investments and stay on the right track in the face of the climate crisis. But we can’t do it alone. Chip in today to stop the MAGA climate agenda at every level.
