I want to tell you about someone special to me – my dad, Frank Inslee. He was a high school biology teacher and coach, starting his career in Thurston County. Like all educators, he worked tirelessly for his students and he was so proud to help them build confidence and ambition on and off the court.
It’s our duty to support teachers and kids. And I know this: They deserve better than I-2117.
I-2117 would take away the funding that’s helping our schools have cleaner air and keeping our kids safe. That’s one reason why the Washington State PTA joined our unprecedented coalition to defeat this misleading and harmful initiative.
As we send our students back to school, I’m asking you to help protect investments in their health. Chip in to help parents and teachers across the state defeat I-2117.
Safer, cleaner school buildings. Safe routes to school. Asthma prevention.
I-2117 would cut funding for all of it.
We can’t let a right-wing millionaire devastate investments in our kids and healthier schools.
If you’re with us, we need you to help hit our August goal so we can continue reaching voters across the state.
Very truly yours,
Jay Inslee
