Friend,

During my time in the state legislature, I’ve fought to fix Washington’s tax code to make it fair for everyone. We need to rebalance the tax code for Washington’s working people and ensure the ultra-wealthy pay what they owe.

We took a gigantic step forward in 2021, when we passed Washington’s capital gains tax. That tax, which only 0.2% of Washingtonians have to pay, is funding billions of dollars in childcare and education investments. But now, all the progress we’ve made is at risk.

Funding from the capital gains tax goes toward our most important investment: Our children.

The capital gains tax funds Washington state’s child care programs, early learning centers, and public schools. Trust me, we can’t afford to lose this funding. But the wealthiest 0.2% of Washingtonians – which include some of the wealthiest people in the world – can afford to pay the capital gains tax.

Thank you for helping us preserve the progress we’ve made and protect our investments in children and families.

With gratitude,

Noel Frame
State Senator, 36th District (WA)
