Kids love Halloween – and not just because of the candy.

They love it because it’s a moment when they can be anything they want. An astronaut. A princess. A mad scientist. It’s always fun to see what creative costumes they come up with.

Washington kids have big dreams. And in this election, they are counting on us to protect them by defeating Initiative 2109.

I-2109 would cut billions of dollars from education and childcare in our state. That would set our kids back and make it tougher for them to realize their dreams. So please, chip in before our midnight deadline to ensure we defeat I-2109 next Tuesday.

Mega-millionaire Brian Heywood is spending big to try to trick voters into passing I-2109, all so he and his wealthy friends can avoid paying the taxes they owe.

If he tricks enough voters, Washington state could lose billions of dollars in funding for schools, childcare, early learning, and more. We can’t afford that.

So before trick or treating starts, I’ve got to ask: Can you chip in to help defeat I-2109 and save our investments in schools and childcare? Every dollar will help us get out the vote in these crucial final days.

Together, we’ll protect our kids’ futures, so they can be anything they want to be (and not just on October 31st).
