Friend,
Brian Heywood’s political action committee, Let’s Go Washington, was just fined $20,000 for violating the law to advance their agenda.
Heywood has poured millions into putting Initiative 2109 on the ballot, all so he and his mega-millionaire friends can avoid paying the capital gains tax. Now, his group is being fined for failing to make necessary disclosures regarding money it spent on gathering signatures to get Initiative 2109 and other measures on the ballot.
According to the Public Disclosure Commission (PDC), Let’s Go Washington failed to maintain and produce relevant records regarding their multi-million-dollar campaign to pass I-2109 and other ballot measures.
Let’s Go Washington violated state campaign finance laws by not obtaining and disclosing information on payments to sub-vendors used by signature-gathering firms. They also had to be subpoenaed before they would hand over 9,000 pages of financial records. But this fine is a drop in the bucket for them, and they’re still spending big to pass their agenda.
Thank you for your contribution,
