No Hate in Washington State – May 20, 2026

Washingtonians will vote on ballot measures IL26-001 and IL26-638 this November. The stakes will be very real for our Washington students.

These measures are opposed by nurses, mental health experts, teachers, domestic violence prevention groups, and many others, including the WA State Nurses Association, Planned Parenthood, and the League of Women Voters—because of what they will mean for our kids.

If IL26-001 were to pass, it would remove protections for students who are facing bullying and discrimination at school or living with domestic violence at home.

It will lead to worse mental health, unsafe conditions, and potential physical harm for Washington students. That’s why it’s so important we defeat IL26-001 this November.

If IL26-638 passed, it could force tens of thousands of Washington girls each year to undergo invasive, embarrassing, and potentially harmful genital exams just to play school sports at any age or level.

This is the most extreme MAGA measure of its kind in the country, and make no mistake, if it passes here, they will try to implement it in other states nationwide.

So who is behind these initiatives?

IL26-001 and IL26-638 are being bankrolled by MAGA mega-donor Brian Heywood. He wants to push Trump’s agenda and divide our communities—to distract from the real economic pain that Washingtonians face every day at the gas pump and at the grocery store.
