No Hate in Washington State – February 27, 2026

Before the month ends, we’re asking: will you help fight back against hate, bullying, and discrimination against our students by becoming a monthly supporter of No Hate in WA State? Being able to rely on your support helps us plan now so we can win in November.

Defeating these harmful ballot measures will require sustained, committed effort. It will require months of organizing, coalition-building, voter outreach, and rapid response to misinformation. 

Why?

Because ballot measures IL26-001 and IL26-638 are being bankrolled by Republican megadonor Brian Heywood in a long-term effort to force his personal, conservative ideology on our communities and turn our schools into political battlegrounds. To win, we must build our own long-term campaign.

That means:

• Hiring and training organizers early
• Sustaining statewide outreach through November
• Planning paid communications to reach undecided voters
• Responding quickly as political attacks escalate

Monthly supporters will be the backbone of that work. A recurring gift of $10 or $25 a month gives us the stability to plan ahead, invest strategically, and stay competitive against a well-funded opponent.

We know Washingtonians are sick of political gamesmanship, especially at the expense of our students and their well-being. We know they deserve schools that are safe, inclusive, and focused on growing and learning. Together, we can make that reality.
