Hi, it’s Libby!
We’re stepping into a new month, a new season, and a new phase of this campaign.
With November inching closer, the work ahead of us will only accelerate. Organizing, voter outreach, and building the campaign infrastructure necessary to defeat harmful ballot measures like IL26-001 and IL26-638 takes consistent, sustained resources. Would you consider becoming one of our monthly supporters?
As many of you may know, I grew up queer in a small conservative town. I know how it feels to be excluded—and how powerful it is when someone chooses to stand up for you.
That’s why this work is so personal to me. And it’s why I’m so determined to win this for all Washington students.
These measures would force schools to “out” LGBTQ students to families—even when it could put them at risk of abuse or homelessness. The measures would also subject girls as young as 11 to invasive genital exams just to participate in sports.
No matter where you stand politically, these policies are harmful and out of step with the kind of communities we all want to live in.
Winning in November won’t come down to one big moment—it will come down to what we’re able to build, day after day, step by step, between now and Election Day.
That’s why the most impactful way you can support this campaign right now is by becoming a monthly donor.
Thank you for being part of this.
