Today, we want to take a moment to observe National Awareness Day for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. It sheds light on a devastating issue that’s affecting our communities.
As a father, lawyer, and public servant, Nick’s committed to protecting and advocating for the most vulnerable among us. Every year hundreds of Indigenous women go missing in our state, and without adequate resources to collect data and prioritize cases, we can’t truly understand the full scale of this crisis.
Today is about more than just acknowledging the problem. It’s about taking action and making a real difference.
As Attorney General, Nick will build on the work to establish a Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women cold case team, set up a tip line for reporting incidents, and implement recommendations from the MMIW task force, helping to build the resources our communities need.
Thank you for standing together with us. Our fight for justice is far from over.
