Last week, the Supreme Court heard a challenge to the abortion pill mifepristone, which could impact telemedicine and accessing pills by mail.
Medication abortions made up 63% of all abortions in the U.S. in 2023 — the first full year after Roe was overturned — which is a 10% increase from 2020.
Despite immense obstacles, people across the country are still accessing abortion pills — which is exactly why GOP extremists want to criminalize yet another method of care. Overturning Roe v. Wade will never be enough for them, but I won’t stand for it.
No matter what happens with this case, as Washington’s next Attorney General, I will defend abortion rights for all and prioritize access to medication abortion. Under my leadership, Washington will remain a safe haven for women’s rights.
But I can’t do this alone. Your grassroots support helps our campaign build resources and educate voters about the real threat of right-wing attacks on abortion — and what I’ll do as Attorney General to protect fundamental freedoms for all.
Thank you for supporting abortion access for all Washingtonians.
