But there is a reason he does this stuff: distraction. Slapping “America” on Lake Ontario does not knock a nickel off a single grocery bill in a single red state. Picking a fight with our closest neighbor, literally and figuratively, is how you get everyone staring north while you take a butcher’s knife to vote-by-mail rights back home.
And while he was busy launching a pointless war with Iran, and letting conservative media tell the military to just shut up and serve, 1.2 million Texas voter registrations got flagged. A million-plus voters quietly nudged toward disenfranchisement while the cameras pointed everywhere else.
