When People Say “Don’t Bother”: Ignore Them

There’s a reason Trump is behaving more erratically than usual and being louder about a third (illegal) term. The wheels are coming off and he wants to project strength. Apparently this includes launching a war of choice with no follow up plan. Really, it’s enough to stop bothering and give up.

Well, we looked at those headlines and collectively said “IDGAF”.

Primary season kicked off across Texas, Arkansas, and North Carolina last night, and NDTC learners — 58 State House seats, 3 State Senate seats, 43 judicial positions (Justices of the Peace, District Court Judges), and 6 school boards — advanced to the general. Winners like

Courtney King, Detrick DeBurr, Michelle Williams, Elma Hairston, among others, are moving forward. And we have a lot more Tuesdays left to go!

That’s not just a moment. That is a movement. With NDTC learners who decided to step up, do the job, and show up at the local level when everything around them said don’t bother.

We are building the bench. From the ground up. For lasting Democratic power. With candidates who know their communities, and showed up trained and ready.
