Us: 10, Them: 0
From the desk of Bibek, Senior Digital Strategist
My 85-year old grandmother, who lives in Nepal, once decided to build a staircase up a cliff in the Himalayas to reach an ancestral shrine. I thought she was out of her mind. But she did it, brick by brick, step by step, completely unbothered by anything except the work in front of her.
She didn’t rush. She didn’t get distracted. She built something for her grandchildren, to outlast her long after she’s gone. And by the way, this happened last year. For the record she is still very much around and healthier than the rest of us combined.
I’ve been thinking about her a lot lately
Democrats have now won 10 straight special elections since Trump’s second term began. Republicans, meanwhile, have flipped zero. And we flipped 22 Georgia counties with a utility board race (read more below). While the administration burns billions of dollars a day in a war no one asked for—killing hundreds, including seven American servicemembers—and drives up prices at the pump faster than Trump’s list of Constitutional violations, Democrats are quietly building something more durable. And we are winning.
This is not just a wave. This is a foundation. Brick by brick. Are you next? Start your run.

NDTC Learner Spotlight 🔦
NDTC Learner Bobbi Boudman is a native New Englander who ran on a straightforward conviction: people over corporations. Despite facing a better-funded GOP candidate, she won Carroll County’s 7th District in the New Hampshire House — making her the Democrats’ 10th special election flip this cycle.

Our own Kelly Sherman sat down with progressive content creator Jess Britvich for a GRWM that went somewhere real: women in politics, imposter syndrome, and what it actually takes to show up anyway.
What’s On Our Newsfeeds 🗞️
Why this story matters:
The “boring” races are where power lives. In this case, literally. Democrats ran candidates on very real, everyday, kitchen table issues. In this case, the monthly utilities bill. And we won.
Why this story matters:
Still on our radar is the SAVE Act, which, as per usual, is right out of the Trump playbook of “squirrel!” and could make it much harder for millions to vote.
Why this story matters:
Diesel jumped more than a dollar per gallon in three of the most competitive Senate battlegrounds this fall. Republicans have struggled to compete with Democrats’ affordability messaging. No kidding.
