And Then They
Came for Minneapolis…
And We Rose Up
What we are witnessing in Minneapolis will not stop there. A gang of federal agents, beholden not to the Constitution but to their autocrat in chief, gunned down two Minnesotans in broad daylight. This is how totalitarian control spreads: city by city, community by community, until the unthinkable becomes the norm.
As you see opportunities to protest pop up in the coming days, we encourage you to join acts of resistance in your community and to bring people with you. Now is the time to multiply our efforts. Be safe. But please do speak up, speak out, and be bold. It’s your right. If not now, then when?
Before you go, brush up on your rights and share this with people who are ready to get involved for the first time: Attending a Protest: NDTC’s 5-Minute Guide

NDTC Learner Spotlight 🔦
Shelley Buck won her special election for Minnesota House 47A this week. With her victory, control of the Minnesota House is now split 67-67. Buck, a member of the Prairie Island Indian Community, is one of only four Native American legislators serving in the Minnesota legislature. When margins are this tight, every NDTC-trained candidate holding the line matters.

We’re Never Letting Trump’s Administration Off the Hook
A letter from NDTC
CEO Kelly Dietrich
Tom Homan — Trump’s latest “border czar,” who built his entire brand on being tough but is supposedly more professional — is now running the show in Minneapolis. This is the same man who took a $50,000 bag of cash from the FBI and said it wasn’t a bribe.
This is not victory. This is a costume change.
What’s On Our Newsfeeds 🗞️
Why this story matters:
The Olympics are supposed to showcase the best of America. Apparently, this administration thinks that includes ICE agents. Italy is already pushing back, and so must we.
Why this story matters:
Notice how the “law and order” crowd gets real quiet when federal agents kill people in broad daylight. People are in the streets because they refuse to look away. If marching isn’t your thing, running for office works too.
