No Such Thing As “Off Years” Anymore

Trump’s federal takeover of the nation’s capital is a fresh reminder that elections – especially downballot “off year” elections – have consequences. DC may have limited representation, but nationwide, local leaders are elected just about every month of every year. And often, they’re who are going to hold the line against overbearing, sometimes disastrous policies like those coming out of Trump’s White House.
NDTC invests in every Democrat who wants to run, in any race, because democracy builds from the ground up. This week, we’re offering a few reminders of the importance of investing in them, early and consistently.
