Hey there — AAPI Heritage month is in full swing!
In the United States, only 0.9% of elected leaders identify as Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI). Yet, the total number of AAPI folks in the U.S. is over six times this percentage and accounts as the fastest growing demographic in the country. This growth can’t and shouldn’t be ignored.
That’s why a run for office, especially at the local level, can be such a crucial driver of change!
