Will you join your fellow democracy defenders and host a community event for No Kings: Vote Early?
Dear MoveOn member,
Fall is here and so is early vote season! With a little more than three weeks until No Kings: Vote Early on October 17, we’re making sure everyone has what they need to vote early and that’s where you come in.
This No Kings is like no other before: Volunteers like you are hosting local events in your communities and going to vote early. What kind of events will you host? Anything you want or that’s unique to your communities.
Maybe gathering some friends to canvass crowds at fall events with early voting information. Or hosting a pumpkin carving event to talk about the importance of early voting. Maybe arranging car rides for your neighbors so you can all vote early on October 17. The sky is the limit!
Celebrate fall and democracy this October and vote early with your community members.
We’ll be honest: Our voting rights are under attack right now. The current administration is doing everything in its power to undermine our elections and sow disinformation. The best way to fight back is to vote early.
Voting early is about taking our power back and showing that we live in a thriving, pluralistic democracy where we all vote. Voting early means there are no last minute emergencies that will prevent you from voting on Election Day, and you can avoid the long lines that Tuesday.
Early voting has begun in Virginia, and as 18-year old college student Sanya Singhal explained, “Why not just have a little fun in life, you know, try to be the first early voter? I really want to participate in my democracy.”
Be like Sanya and gather your community to vote early on Saturday, October 17.
