You may have seen the recent polls about just how tight the presidential election race is, not only on the national level but, more alarmingly, in nearly every key swing state, including Michigan and Pennsylvania.1
Now, with just 15 days left to get out the vote for Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz, it is becoming crystal clear that this election will be decided by just a handful of “surge voters,” people who don’t consistently show up to the polls but vote living in battleground states. That’s why we’ve been doubling down on our efforts to reach as many of these key voters as possible by running daily phone banks to help turn out the vote for Vice President Harris and other Democrats downballot.
But with the race this tight, we need your help to contact as many of these voters as possible if we want to defeat Trump and his Project 2025 agenda resoundingly at the ballot box. Will you help us defeat Trump and his Project 2025 agenda at the ballot box this November by joining fellow MoveOn members to call key voters this week?
This election truly is about two futures.
One where our freedoms are protected under a Harris-Walz administration, or one in which they are taken away and marginalized communities are living in constant fear and under frequent attacks by a Trump administration.
And the reality is that this election will be decided by a razor-thin margin. In fact, election experts are already saying this election will likely be the closest in modern history.2
So every phone call you make to nudge a left-leaning voter to vote truly can and will make a difference. Plus, you won’t be alone. In fact, you’ll be in community with other MoveOn members like you and with MoveOn staffers who will be providing a short training at the beginning of the phone bank session and will be available to support you the whole way through.
Will you help us reach as many of these left-leaning voters who are considering sitting on the sidelines and encourage them to vote? A phone call from you could be the deciding nudge for the voters you talk to—also the five friends we’re asking them to remind to vote. These relational contacts, texts from people they know, are one of the most effective get-out-the-vote tactics that experts have studied.3
