I just wanted to make sure you saw Rahna’s email below, inviting you to the livestream discussion tonight at 8 p.m. ET/5 PT. Let us know if you’ll be able to join.
Tuesday’s results were devastating. But we know that the only way to stop Trump and his agenda is for us to stick together. Progressive leaders and people all across the country are getting together tonight, to make sense of this moment and talk about where we go from here. We hope you’ll be able to join.
Thanks and hope to see you there.

Dear MoveOn member,
I am heartbroken. With last night’s election results being called for Donald Trump, there’s no denying that this is a devastating blow. For years, millions of us have organized, mobilized, and come together to do all we can to stop Trump and MAGA’s dangerous Project 2025 agenda and to fight for a democracy that includes and works for all of us. And today, we’re holding the most vulnerable and marginalized in our society deeply in our hearts.
Let’s be clear: We are not going anywhere, and our work will not end here.
Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans are counting on us to give up and let them take over our country. Thus far, more than 66 million people voted against their hate-filled agenda and we will not let them take our freedoms and country away from us.1
So many of us are feeling a range of emotions right now: fear, anger, confusion, sadness. But whatever you’re feeling, you don’t have to face it alone. You are part of a community of millions of like-minded MoveOn members across the country, and no matter what’s next, we’ll face it together.
This outcome is devastating to all of us who have worked so hard to protect our fundamental freedoms and preserve and strengthen the beautiful experiment of American democracy.
It is more important than ever that we continue to be there to protect free and fair elections, defend communities under attack, and fight for our freedoms. We refuse to let Trump take us back. MoveOn resisted Trump’s agenda at every turn during his first presidency, and we’re prepared to do it again.
Although the outcome of this election isn’t what we had hoped for, you should feel proud of the work we accomplished and the effort we put in during the election. All of that work—the time spent talking to voters, building community with our neighbors—is a key part of building the strong movement we’ll need in the weeks and months ahead.
Starting early this year, we set out to engage, persuade, and mobilize infrequent, unmotivated, Democratic-leaning surge voters to make it to the polls. MoveOn used a combination of innovative and traditional tactics, including direct voter contact, targeted paid media, and connecting with harder-to-reach voters through influencers, celebrity ambassadors, and a novel GOTV ice cream truck tour in partnership with Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield.
So whether you made a donation to MoveOn’s program, volunteered to reach out to surge voters, or joined one of our online events—you played a critical role in this election. No matter what comes next, the work we’ve put in together will create the base for how we move forward together. Thank you for the actions you’ve taken to strengthen our democracy and our communities.
Thanks for all you do.

Want to support MoveOn? The MAGA right is declaring war, and Project 2025 is their battle plan. Project 2025 threatens our rights, attacks communities of color, hurts middle- and working-class families, and undermines our democracy. But we will not back down or let Trump steamroll our nation.
Will you start a monthly donation to power and sustain MoveOn’s election plan, stop Trump, and ensure Project 2025 is never enacted?
No, I’m sorry, I can’t make a monthly donation.
