Dear MoveOn member,
This Saturday—March 28—millions of people in thousands of communities will step into the streets with a simple message: No thrones. No crowns. No kings.
At this moment, when the future of our country is on the brink, it’s heartening to know that this third No Kings Day is on track to be the biggest one yet.
But “on track” is not the same as “inevitable.”
Historic days don’t just happen. They’re built by networks of dedicated organizations like MoveOn, by thousands of volunteer hosts and safety leads, and by thousands of community members doing the unglamorous, necessary work that makes it possible for millions of people to participate.
Please, can you chip in $5 a month to support our ongoing work to build the No Kings movement? By making a monthly commitment, you’ll power not just the biggest day of protest in American history but the next steps to keep the movement growing—and our ongoing fight against authoritarianism.
No, I’m sorry, I can’t make a monthly donation.
In these final four days before the next No Kings Day, MoveOn is …
- training and supporting thousands of local hosts in every region across the United States;
- sharing “Know Your Rights” resources and helping event hosts plan for safety and de-escalation, so that everyone feels prepared and ready to show up with confidence;
- fueling the outreach—online, through social media, and in the media—to make the turnout as large as possible; and
- coordinating on the ground in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, to make the No Kings Day flagship event powerful, meaningful, and joyful, to honor the people of Minnesota for their incredible activism in the face of an ongoing ICE siege.
That’s right: We’re building joy into No Kings Day because what strongmen create and depend on is despair. But we won’t let them break us.
We will hold on to our joy. We will remain hopeful and work to change history. And we will bring new people into our movement.
Across the country, MoveOn members are hosting low-key, welcoming “bring-a-friend” gatherings—sign-making parties, community meetups, and pre-march check-ins—so that on Saturday and going forward, people don’t feel alone. Instead, they’re connected to each other and to a powerful movement.
Saturday is on track to be a day for the record books. But we can’t fund this final push—and the work that will need to be done after—without you.
Will you start a monthly $5 donation to ensure MoveOn is not only fully prepared to make Saturday a historic day in the fight against tyranny, but can also absorb and retain hundreds of thousands of new people into our movement? Saturday is important—but even more important is sustaining the movement in the months ahead.
Please, will you be one of the people who chips in $5 a month starting right now, today?
No, I’m sorry, I can’t make a monthly donation.
You might be feeling overwhelmed right now. Many of us are.
But history has proven that nonviolent movements—when they are large, disciplined, and consistent—have a record of succeeding.
You might already know about the research that shows that when just 3.5% of a country’s population commits to being part of sustained resistance, unjust power structures like authoritarianism cannot continue.1
And we’re so close to reaching this number. Check this out:
- In April, 2025, 3 million people turned out at 1,300 Hands Off! events.
- In June, 2025, 5 million people peacefully protested at 2,100 No Kings events.
- And in October 2025, 7 million people were out in the streets at 2,700 No Kings events.
On Saturday, 3,057 No Kings Day events are planned across the country—a new record. And still more events are being added every day!
As you can see, previous mobilizations drew millions more each time. Authoritarians who expect our obedience are instead being met with our passion and persistence.
The formula to our movement’s success is clear: With growing numbers + endurance + solidarity, we achieve what once felt impossible.
Millions showed up to the previous No Kings mobilizations, and millions more are on track to show up again for this one. Saturday can bring in a new wave—first-timer activists, more families, and people who’ve been waiting for reassurance that it’s safe to take action.
We will make sure they’re invited, that they turn out, and that they stay active with our movement. But we need your help to do the long-term organizing required.
If even a small portion of the people who read this email start a $5 monthly contribution today, it will give us the resources we need to continue growing the movement, as hundreds of thousands of new people show up on No Kings Day. Are you in?
Please start a $5 per month donation right now to help power MoveOn’s final four-day sprint to March 28—and the organizing that comes after.
No, I’m sorry, I can’t make a monthly donation.
Thanks for all you do.

P.S. If you haven’t already, find and RSVP to a No Kings Day event near you today. Then text a friend or a family member and ask them to come with you.
P.P.S. If a monthly gift really isn’t possible for you right now, a one-time contribution still helps us to support event hosts, get materials ready, and engage more people in these final four days. You can chip in any amount here.
