On Friday, Donald Trump signed his Project 2025 billionaire tax cut bill.
All but two House Republicans voted to hand massive giveaways to the ultra wealthy while cutting health care and food assistance for tens of millions of families who will now be forced to suffer through hunger and health crises.
It’s time to make these Republicans regret what they did, especially the ones who lied to their constituents over and over when they said they would never vote to cut Medicaid.

Senator Bernie Sanders called the bill “the most dangerous piece of legislation in the modern history of our country.”1
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called the bill “a deal with the devil” and noted it is the “greatest loss of health care in American history.”2
Many of these Republicans represent swing congressional districts, including districts that voted for Kamala Harris in 2024, and are on the record saying that they would NEVER cut Medicaid. These Republican politicians lied to their constituents—period. They chose Trump and their billionaire donors over the very people who elected them, and we need to show the American public just how dishonest they are.
But we have a huge, huge problem. In a recent poll, 48% of Americans polled said they hadn’t heard anything about the bill.3 And only 8% of all Americans name Medicaid cuts as a detail of the bill they have heard about.4
In other words, half of the country has never even heard of the most dangerous legislation in modern American history, and fewer than 1 in 10 Americans are aware Trump just signed a bill that would cut health care for tens of millions of people.
Kendall, that’s where MoveOn comes in. It is up to us to directly communicate the horrors of this legislation to voters between now and November 2026—repeatedly and in clear and stark terms.
We must hammer the Republicans for their despicable votes every single day, over and over and over again—on TV, on social media, on billboards, on the ground and in their districts, and every other way we can—until the message sticks.
