By now you’ve probably heard of Project 2025, the blueprint for a MAGA takeover of our government that will give Trump unchecked power and strip away our freedoms. And because of a concentrated effort by MoveOn and other ally organizations, so have a lot more people. In just the past few weeks, a majority of Americans have become aware of this deeply dangerous plan.1
Here’s some hopeful news: When people hear about Project 2025, they reject it, and Trump’s favorability decreases.2 They think the agenda is extreme, goes too far, and will benefit only Trump and the wealthy few. And they’re right. Who would want a national abortion ban, the Department of Education dismantled, taxes raised on the working- and middle-classes and while taxes are cut for corporations, and LGBTQ+ rights rolled back?
That’s why it’s critically important that we continue exposing MAGA’s dangerous Project 2025 and telling people about Vice President Kamala Harris as the antidote to preserve our democracy. In just a few days since President Biden passed the torch to Vice President Harris, our movement has experienced renewed hope and energy.
Here’s a little refresher: Project 2025 is MAGA’s road map to give a second Trump presidency unchecked power to eliminate abortion, hurt working people, cut Social Security by raising the retirement age, fire civil servants and replace them with Trump “loyalists,” and roll back our rights and freedoms while reshaping all aspects of the government.3 It’s a blueprint for an authoritarian leader. And we must defeat it, first by electing Vice President Harris as president.
Recording a video with Soapboxx is simple and takes just a few minutes. You can do it from your computer or phone. Afterwards, you can share the video on social media to spread the word about Project 2025 and why you’re voting for Vice President Harris. MoveOn may even share your video to help it gain even more traction.
Since Project 2025 has proven deeply unpopular, Trump has tried to distance himself from the proposal, going as far as saying he doesn’t even know what it is.4 But we are calling BS.
A majority of Project 2025’s creators have connections to Trump and his past administration, including various Cabinet secretaries.5 And whether Trump likes it or not, J.D. Vance, Trump’s running mate, is fully implicated. He’s written the foreword of Project 2025’s chief architect’s new book, praising his ideas, and has close relationships with the Heritage Foundation.6 Project 2025 is Trump, and we won’t let him deny that.
