We’re announcing a big, bold plan to stop Donald Trump and Elon Musk—and protect our democracy and the rule of law.
The massive protests on April 5 showed the power of our movement. Three million people took to the streets at more than 1,300 peaceful actions across all 50 states to reject Trump and Musk’s plans to enrich themselves and their billionaire friends at our expense.1
Now we have a critical opportunity during the April congressional recess to build on this momentum and take it to the next level.
Here’s the heart of it: MoveOn has identified seven persuadable House Republicans who MUST be pressured by their constituents. These representatives know their districts aren’t solidly MAGA, and they’re feeling the heat after the massive April 5 protests.
Our April congressional recess plan is already in motion. We’re organizing constituent meetings, town hall interventions, and local media events in each of these seven districts. MoveOn members will deliver a clear message to these representatives: Do not turn your backs on us. We are watching, and we are not afraid to hold you accountable.
But this kind of targeted, strategic organizing requires resources right now and as we continue to build until our non-violent movement is big enough, loud enough, and powerful enough to stop Trump’s attacks on our country. Will you donate $5 a month to help us pressure these key Republicans?

Here’s what your donation will fund: MoveOn is deploying staff to train local volunteers, coordinate actions, make noise in the local press and across social media platforms, and ensure these representatives can’t escape hearing from their constituents. Our plan is to raise hell so that these representatives know we will not stand idly by as they vote to raise costs for everyday Americans while giving handouts to billionaires.
We’ll organize to flood their offices with calls and meeting requests. We’ll coordinate letter-writing campaigns to local newspapers. And we’ll ensure that whenever these representatives hold public events, MoveOn members are there to ask tough questions about why they’re supporting an agenda that hurts their own constituents.

- Juan Ciscomani in Arizona’s 6th Congressional District
- Ken Calvert in California’s 41st Congressional District
- Mariannette Miller-Meeks in Iowa’s 1st Congressional District
- Tom Barrett in Michigan’s 7th Congressional District
- Don Bacon in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District
- Jen Kiggans in Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District
This is how we win: by being strategic, focused, and relentless in our organizing.
Trump and Musk promised to help everyday Americans. Instead, they’re trying to cut the programs millions of us rely on while giving tax breaks to their billionaire friends. People cannot afford to pay rent or put food on the table while Trump buddies up with billionaires and wastes time on publicity stunts.
The protests on April 5 were just the beginning. Now we have a chance to turn up the heat.

If we can convince just two of the seven Republicans we’re targeting to vote against Trump and Musk’s cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, we can win this fight.
