JoAnna Mendoda (AZ-06): As a 20-year military veteran and proud single mother by choice, Jo knows firsthand the challenges working families face every day. She’s spent her life showing up for her country and her neighbors—and now, she’s taking that same determination to D.C. to lower costs for families, expand access to health care, and protect Arizonans from attacks on affordability, democracy and care. Jo is the real deal: her seat is an essential pick-up in the fight to flip the House, and we know she’ll be a Care Champion once she’s elected. Manny Rutinel (CO-08): Manny is an attorney, advocate, and first generation American who’s passionate about serving his community and fighting for families. His race in Colorado’s 8th district is a key pickup opportunity for us to build a Care Majority in Congress. Growing up with a single mother, he’s inspired by hard work and grateful for opportunities that have allowed him to attend college, law school and now, represent Adams County in Colorado’s General Assembly. Since taking office, Manny has championed bills to expand Coloradans’ earned income tax credits, and build out the state’s child tax credit—getting money back for families facing a growing affordability crisis.
