I am excited to say that I will be on the ballot in November!
We always knew the primary was going to be tough: if the election had been held under these lines four years ago, Democratic candidates for Governor and Lt. Governor would have received under 40% in the primary election and would have won in the general election by over 10 points.
Because of voter turnout patterns, Democratic candidates in this district consistently see a large upswing in votes in the general election.
With Tuesday’s results we’re at 41.6% — well over where we needed to be to win in the general election!
