March For Our Lives – September 28, 2026

On September 28, 2016, a gunman opened fire on the playground of Townville Elementary School in South Carolina, taking the life of 6-year-old Jacob Hall.

Ten years later, we remember Jacob, his family, and every survivor whose life was altered in twelve seconds on a school playground.

When tragedies like Townville happen, the gun lobby’s routine is well-rehearsed: they offer empty “thoughts and prayers,” claim nothing could have prevented it, and hide behind confusing legal jargon. They rely on opacity. Most people know the NRA, but far fewer can name the trade associations like the NSSF, explain legislation like PLCAA, or trace how a dollar moves from a gun manufacturer to a vote on Capitol Hill.

That’s why we launched The Machine: A User Manual for the Gun Industry. Today, we want to spotlight one of its most vital sections: The Schematic.
